Converted Venice Loft Of Industrial Authenticism
The keenest of our readers will notice that over time we have discovered some fantastic homes and interiors, and have often explored the rationale that the nicer your home, the better your wellbeing; SATORI & SCOUT have also often mentioned when a home matches our own studio's style, and together we finally think we have found the ultimate home; our ultimate wishlist home. A former 1926 4-story building that was once home to a telephone company's headquarters, this industrial setting can be found in Venice (USA) and now homes various office spaces, gallery units and lastly, this penthouse loft conversion that is complete with its own roof garden.
Designed by Alexander Design, a studio who has plenty of beautiful other conversion projects (Grayfox or Malibu Farm are our particular favourites), this loft is essentially the perfect mix of industrial and cosiness, whether that be in colour palette, materiality, features and details et al.Highly monochromatic with its extensive use of blacks, greys and whites, each interior is complemented with subtle amounts of light-toned wood. Offering many open-plan spaces - there are a gym area and ping pong table in the same room as the lounge and dining area, for example - this home has everything industrial that you could ever want (in its authentic form) and has just about the right amount of homeliness and cosy added in.
Featuring massive windows for extensive natural daylight - ever important -, the open-plan room's columns give both character and place settings to organise the room around. There's a swing in the centre of the living area, fancy that eh?! p.s. absolutely we love the Bang & Olufsen speakers, and that custom bed design, fantastic.
