Amazon Echo Styling Your Look
Echo Echo, are you there?! No, not Amazon's latest recreation of some 1980's time travelling film, but their latest piece of innovative kit, an outfit rater, helper, selector and talker. A mouthful of assisting benefits, the Echo Look features a camera that takes photos of your outfits prior to rating them and giving a second opinion before you embark about your day.
Available at Amazon, of course, the Echo Look device is said to be a fashion tool that includes voice-activation to allow it's fashionistas - you - to take full-length photos of your style preferences. With Amazon's smart assistant Alexa chosen as the preferred voice-over and device brain, the system then runs a style checking algorithm to give feedback on your chosen look for that day. As Amazon explain, "Style Check keeps your look on point using advanced machine learning algorithms and advice from fashion specialists. Simply submit two photos for a second opinion on which outfit looks best on you based on fit, colour, styling and current trends." As you might expect, "Over time, these decisions get smarter through your feedback and input from our team of experienced fashion specialists."
Over such time, you are able to develop and curate your brands and styles and build a library of your preferences. If you are perhaps of the opinion that style help isn't something that you particularly need help with, Echo Look also fulfils all of the other benefits that Amazon Echo's previous releases achieve, namely play music, read the news etc. With a recurring trend, many companies are trying to compete to make the best of smart home services, with Google's Home device seemingly leading the way, but perhaps Echo is coming up behind?
