The Inner Chimp Of Urban Mobility

Is it time to 'free your inner chimp', and perhaps be part of the move to change urban mobility? Well, we're not sure we'd like to be a chimp exactly, but we're all eyes and ears on innovation in the electric motorbike sector. Dubbed 'Motochimp', this two-wheeled zero emission version of a joyrider bike is aiming to have design and fun on equal merit, promising to give urban dwellers "...a fresh perspective on transportation."

As Motochimp's designer and CEO explains, "...in designing Motochimp, our original concept was inspired by a sketch from a 10-year old girl. when you're on the Motochimp, you put enchantment back into everyday life, you see fun and wonder through the eyes of a child. we've really let our imaginations run free and we're very proud of the results."

Launched this week at the Shenzhen International Industrial Design Fair, Motochimp is highly eco-friendly, fashionable and arguably a step toward the design of the antidote to traditional urban transport - maybe this is it? Cost-effective and highly mobile, and with the ability of being fast charged from any regular AC power plug in under an hour, you can travel an entire 60km with no worry at all.

With a design that exudes class, durability and style, the aluminium alloy body offers a smooth texture to feel as good as it looks. Available in red, blue or yellow, the small bike is definitely unique. Measuring just one metre long, the bike also offers radio-frequency identification technology that is equally a move toward better bike security, with the transport method only able to respond to one owner. SATORI & SCOUT certainly loves it when design and innovation come together with style to match.
